Tutorial Tuesday

I am kicking off Tutorial Tuesday with a simple tutorial on charms.  Check the Blog each Tuesday for a new tutorial either with photos, a video, or a demo from a popular designer.  We will show you some of the techniques and products we love to use in the store so be sure to check it out!

Here's a quick tutorial using Kim's technique to paint charms.  This is perfect to use with our BOGO Charm sale this week!

Step 1: Choose a charm and paint with acrylic Paint Dabber in color of choice.

Step 2: Let paint dry

Optional: Use silver or gold metallic paint lightly to accent charm color.

Step 3: Cover charm in embossing ink

Step 4: Sprinkle UTEE over wet embossing ink

Step 5: Heat UTEE on charm until it turns to a shiny covering

Your owl is now a distressed brown with a plastic coating to keep the paint from chipping!
